Working Together
Schools, health centres, youth facilities, children's centres and social housing are often developed in isolation from each other.
Our alternative approach encourages a complete integration of services: church buildings can provide a good opportunity to do this.
The Bromley-by-Bow Centre in London's East End is a living, working and successful blueprint for our work. Over the past 25 years, Andrew Mawson has played a key role in the creation and transformation of the Centre from a dilapidated URC church into an integrated health and community project. Internationally recognised, it is a leading example of community action and grassroots regeneration. The beautifully renovated church remains at the centre of this development for which it was the catalyst.
We connect experience of the "micro", routed in local communities, with the "macro" of Government policy to create genuine change.
